Occasionally, I’m asked about the assessments I use in my Career Counseling.

I use personalized tools like the Alignment Audit (not outdated tests) to quickly find your best-fit career path.
Assessments and approaches I use to gauge fit
When I’m asked this question, the short answer is that I use the Alignment Audit, Stress Management Blueprint, Infinite Focus Blueprint, and Mindset Mastery Blueprint, coupled with an assessment of current roles that match those goals and expectations.
These are the primary assessments I use:
- Alignment Audit
- Stress Management Blueprint
- Infinite Focus Blueprint
- Mindset Mastery Blueprint
Of course, we’ll see how the results pan out, and we’ll consider other approaches if necessary to clarify direction and create velocity toward greater satisfaction and results.
Why I don’t use standardized assessments
Despite my training in Psychology and expertise in statistical methodology, I have found many “standardized” tests to be outdated, not sufficiently personalized, and too easy to “game” to get the results the taker wants.
Most standardized tests are:
- Dated
- Generic
- Easily invalidated by the test taker
While there is still some value in standardized assessments, my opinion is that an explicitly personalized approach, coupled with a current review of existing roles across the modern job market, is a more relevant, timely and personalized approach that will yield better results.
This way, we’re not left waiting for third parties to update their decades-old models or years-old skills/jobs inventories.
Here’s what clients say about our assessments
“What I was really looking for was some direction, and what you offer, and the lectures, and the materials, and the questions, all the exercises… They did exactly that. Because in my mind, I’m thinking that I’m trying to regain a vision or the vision that I had. But it’s synonymous with purpose. And you present purpose as that foundation. And I totally agree with that.”
— Eric B., Marketing Manager
“I have been wary of how this kind of process could lead to no results or bad results but I have not seen that at all, in the workshops, in the worksheets, in the homework, in the constant questioning, in the column written worksheets. It only yields answers about yourself.”
— Omario K., Attorney and Professor
