Help teams build a bridge to high performance

The lead software developer on my team came by my desk to tell me she needed to tell me something. She wanted to talk in private, in a conference room, apparently due to the sensitive nature of the message. Once in the small room, she broke the news. “We’re screwed. The team and I have […]

Groupthink in my organization enabled a situation where that wasn’t going to happen, and that was acceptable. My option was to tell my client it was impossible: they couldn’t take part on this important project. I […]

Carrying Boxloads Of Money

Product development is risky business. There I was at my customer’s desk while he ran late from a meeting. Tacked to his cubicle wall was a letter from his company’s legal department to mine. Dylan Cornelius

Dylan Cornelius

Hi, I’m Dylan Cornelius. As the first son of a new teen mom who became a single mom by the time I was 2, I was first in my family to do many things: going away to a 4-year university, then to graduate school, taking on over a $100,000 in student debt, running a 5k, losing 50 pounds, receiving an autoimmune diagnosis, then learning yet another definition for “healthy diet plan”. It’s been hard at times: how great it would have been to have someone in my life who “gets me” and knows how to help! In graduate school, I concentrated in “Management of Innovation” -- after all, I worked in Silicon Valley, and I’d grown up just down the road! While there, I learned best practices anyone can use to manage change and build new products. Since then, I’ve spent my career changing the lives of Fortune 500 employees and customers through product and operations innovations. I'm teaching people everywhere how to be successful: how to manage change, get great results, and change their lives. I share the innovation tools of the best businesses with everyone.
