Meet Dylan Cornelius

I Went to Business School to Become a Leader. That’s Not What Made Me One.
My brother put it plainer than any consultant ever had: “Do something about it, or quit complaining.” He said it after another round of me complaining about a life that looked fine from the outside and felt miserable from the inside. Passed over for promotion four times in three years. Home life quietly falling apart. An MBA that was supposed to make me a leader — and hadn’t.
So I did something about it. I hired therapists, coaches, and trainers, and went looking for the blind spot I couldn’t see on my own. Here’s what I found: I’d spent decades optimizing my achievements and neglecting the people in my life — at home and at work, least of all myself. My marriage didn’t survive that realization. But facing it is also how I met my partner, who trained me for my first two marathons. We now ride 100-mile tandem bike events together.
When I brought that same shift to work — actually leading, instead of performing for approval — everything changed there too. For the first time in my career, people noticed my contributions without my having to fight for it.
Before You Book
How is this different from other career coaches?
Most career coaches focus on resumes, interview prep, and networking tactics. That’s not what keeps you stuck. We reveal your blind spots — especially around how you show up in teams and relationships — so you can make strategic choices instead of repeating the same patterns.
What if I’m not ready to make a change yet?
That’s actually the perfect time to start. Clarity comes first, then action. Many people come thinking they need to quit their job — and discover they actually need to change how they show up.
What if I make the wrong decision and waste even more time?
That’s exactly why we focus on revealing your blind spots and patterns before you take action. When you understand why things haven’t worked in the past, you make strategic choices instead of desperate ones.
Do I have to quit my job to work with you?
No. Many people are employed but unsustainable when they start. We look at whether the issue is the role, the company, how you’re showing up, or a combination — and create a strategic path forward.
You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck
The difference between staying stuck and getting unstuck is simple: seeing what you can’t see on your own.
