You have worked hard, given all you have, made compromises, and probably even several sacrifices. Now It’s your time to get promoted!
Companies consider several factors when giving a promotion, such as technical skills, knowledge, and productivity. However, these aren’t always enough.
Your superiors need to know that you have a positive attitude towards your job to effectively lead your colleagues, add value to the company and overcome issues.
- Do you think about how to improve things in your company simply because you believe in it and in what it does?
- Are you happy to go to work every day and have contagious morale?
- Can you influence others to follow your lead without managing them?
- Do you overcome challenges and locate and avoid problems before they arise?
If your answer to these questions is “yes,” you’re on the right path. Find real-life examples to build your case with your boss.
Aligned goals lead to success
But what if you aren’t entirely sure about a few of them? It doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. However, you should never forget that the ultimate aim of a job is not to get promoted. It’s to sustain you so that you can live a satisfied life.
Once I was denied promotion after promotion, you know, even though I worked twice as hard as others. All my energy was on my job, and I sacrificed other aspects of my life. Still, I didn’t get promoted once.
Then I started being honest with myself. I was in a meaningless job to me, all my relationships were failing, and my health was a disaster. I didn’t have a vision for myself, wasn’t doing anything I loved, and I was enduring with the hope things would be better one day.
This had to change.
After years of studying and researching, I found the solution. I was able to align my vision with my life and succeed in any aspect of my life. I also got promoted several times!
Pillars of satisfaction and success
I discovered the 4 pillars of satisfaction and success:
- Purpose. Finding and following your life purpose brings immense energy and motivation beyond anything you’ve experienced.
- Success mindset. This mental state leads you to accomplish all your goals independently of anything that happens around you.
- Positive relationships. Surround yourself with people who value you and support you for who you are.
- Leadership. We all rely on others, and being a leader means positively guiding and influencing those around you.
These 4 pillars have the power to transform your life, as they have changed mine and that of many others.
You’ll gain focus and a life that aligns with your vision. So that you can get promoted and succeed in anything you want.
